Elections were held in May 2019 for the 7 seats on the Council.

All have signed a Declaration of Acceptance of Office and undertake to observe the Parish Council's Code of Conduct when dealing with matters on behalf of the community. Councillors also complete a Register of Interests, a copy of which is on the Dorset Council website see link.

The next elections will be May 2024 when the Parish Council becomes a group Council with Frome Vauchurch, there will be 9 Councillors in total 7 from Maiden Newton and 2 from Frome Vauchurch.
